Exploring Kink

I went to her poetry event yesterday.  Apparently she is a big deal but for me the poetry was alright. She had some that i thought were really good. she also spoke about how she was arrested 2 years ago for sitting in a recuitment center. When people would come in she and her crew would advise the youth (because mainly youngsters join the army to kill and die) on things they wanted. For instance, a recruiter will tell a young person he can become a Dr. by serving the army for XYZ years. So she would tell them I know a few DR., i’ll set an appointment for you and you can speak to a real Dr. about steps to becoming one.   I just thought that type of sit in was really creative. She said they used to do things like that when other wars were happening. I agree that the war needs to end and we need to leave the people in that part of the world alone and save our own streets.

I started to ask myself, what can I do that is on par with that to make a change? what would you do or are doing?

crepe, western style which i guess means egg,meats etc.  

it was cool. Nice to look at but not worth $11 in my opinion.

so much dissappointment, so little space.

No i WONT blame raleigh. I’m going to blame wachovia’s cheap self. they contribute all of this money, supposedly to make the city better. Better how? better because of the Watchovia Imax/kiddie museum. It’s simply AMAZING how ideas fall flat. 

Inception came out, i heard nothing of this movie prerelease. i was standing in the middle of Toronto when I looked up to catch the end of the trailor. and it said in IMAX. From that 5 seconds I just wanted to see the movie, and then i heard who wrote the script so then i HAD to watch the movie. I  get back to raleigh, it’s at Wachovia’s imax here so i go.  The screen is really really small for an IMAX. WTF wachovia, did they not have any budget leftover after they collected all of their Penalty fees? it’s a regular sized screen. I basically drive 40 mins from my home to see a movie on aregular screen with a pretty intense speaker setup. $6 for parking, $ gas, $ for the ‘imax experience.’

Inception = an absolute must see. Hands down one of the best scripts written in a long while because of the layers in the story and the uniqueness of it all.  It just WORKED! After watching that I went home and had to make my script better. That movie/script was as much inspiring as it was intimidating. However I’m going to get to the level where I can envision a movie that great/unique and write it on paper.

But back to imax had it not been for this great movie I would have been pissed and gotten my money back. The screen in this IMAX is small, the chairs are not comfy unless you are short as shit, there is no headrest. who the hell makes a theatre, an IMAX THEATRE tailored for kids in acity that doesnt have another imax. The tall man next to me shifted as much as i did. i had to exercise my neck mid movie. Ill never go back again and stick with the one in Norfolk. WTF why did raleigh allow them to put such a shitty IMAX here?

1) Because i live in a place like raleigh that doesnt give me as many eatable options. I just came back from Toronto and i wore my tongue out. no no nothing Kink related just eating Thai, Indian, Street, Breakfast, and other types of foods.  I took a street car and passed five places that made me want to get off and eat. 

2) Because i dont know anyone willing to travel maybe down to charlotte for the day(dc, maryland, va etc) with the goal of eating a new dish.

3) $$$.  I’m willing to spend money on good food but i cant seem to force my hand to reach for my wallet when the price of just the main course hits the $40-50 range. Please tell me what a chef does to a $3 chicken that turns it into a 40 maindish. Maybe ill splurge one day but if i get ripped off someone like the chef will be forced to hear it.
